Segments 1 & 2
Michigan requires teens to complete a driver’s training program (segments 1 & 2) taught by state certified professionals. State law requires that each driver's training program include 24 hours of classroom instruction, six hours of instruction behind the wheel and 4 hours of driving observation for segment 1.
The In-between
Between segments 1 and 2, there is a six month waiting period where teens are required to drive a total of 50 hours with a lisenced individual over the age of 25. Our Team 50 program is catered to helping students log their state required 50 hours of drive time. Similarly to a ride sharing sharing services, we pick students up, but they take the wheel with the guidance of one of our driving professionals.
